The modules are mounted on a DPW CRS Commercial Racking System at 5 degree tilte angle on the flat roof. The system includes four Fronius Line Tie Inverters which connect this system to Central Hudson Power Company with three phase power. Sponsored by a grant from NYSERDA. |
Putney School First Photo:. 1KW with wind system - originally 1KW photovoltaic modules were added to the existing wind system Second Photo: The rest of the PV - two additional KW photovoltaic modules were then added to complete the system (the wind machine is being repaired and not in this photo) For the current full system: 3KW Evergreen #115 (27 modules) and a 1 KW H40 24V Whisper Wind go to a grid tie Trace 4024 bimodal inverter for a line-tie system. There are 4 T105 US Battery 6V batteries which ballast the wind system, which is 24VDC. The Controllers for the PV are Outback MX60. There is a KWH meter keeping track of the entire production, with a PV monitor in the charge controller to isolate the PV production, with the difference between the two being the wind system. The students at the Putney School participated in the training and installation of these renewable energy systems. |

| Doucette Residence Eight 120W Kyocera Modules for a 960 watt remote independent system. Twenty-four 2V Surrette Long Life Battery Cells in Series and Parallel for a system voltage of 24VDC. A Trace 4024 Sine Wave Inverters supplies the house with 120V AC. This system also has an 11KW Kohler Propane Generator for backup. |
Dilts Residence A grid-integrated net metering system with 2 1/2KW Masschusetts made ASE modules on the roof mounted with Ascension roof jack mounting system. A European Sunnyboy grid-tie inverter provides 120VAC. In the daytime sunny times solar energy produces electricity that the house uses if loads are running. If there is excess electricity, it is sent back to the power company through the line. At night the house uses electricity from the line to power it's loads. |
